Who's the Teachers Pet?

It looks like we have a teachers pet in the family! I have finally gotten back on the gym track with Dan. While I can't work out as hard as I previously did, the doctor says it is fine for me to still go - spinning class and all! :-) Because it is the beginning of the year and everyones New Years Resolutions are still fresh on their minds, the spin classes are packed. There are about 40 bikes in the room and you have to sign up for a specific bike 30 minutes before class starts. Yes, Dan and I always sit next to each other in the front. The way the room is set up is an instructors bike in the front, on a pedestal looking out at everyone, and then there are two semcircles of bikes facing the instructor.

Well, yesterday, our teacher was being nice and trying to accomodate one late straggler into class. So, he walks in, points to Dan and tells Dan to take the instructors bike for the class! It was pretty funny to see him up there looking out at everyone - just like the model student! But he did a great job and we had an interesting walk home as Dan told me about everyone in class who was slacking off and had no idea what they were doing. It was pretty funny!

Great job, Dan! Way to be the teachers pet! :-) I mean, really, who cares if it is only at the gym??

David Letterman's Top 10 List

Someone sent this to me and I've heard a lot of people talking about it so I thought I'd share with everyone. It is Obama on Letterman doing the top 10 list of Obama campaign promises:

Puerto Rico Part II

I figured I would share a few more pictures from out trip since I finally got around to uploading mine!

What do you do at night when the casino is closed? Dad had the idea of bringing a projector and we watched movies by the pool on the side of the pool bar. Here are Dad and Dan and Kristin setting up the screen.

We did this 2 nights, the first night we watched Caddy Shack and the 2nd night we watched Weekend at Bernies!

Mom & Dad's friends Mr. and Mrs. Shaw were there the same week we were so we hung out with them a lot. Here we all are having lunch in Old San Juan after our walking tour and before our Duck Tour! (I still want to do the Boston one though!) This was the birthplace of the Pina Colada!

After the Duck Tour we needed more drinks. Here are Mom and Dad at Senor Frogs in San Juan!

Kind of out of order but this is the hotel that "the kids" stayed at once we got to San Juan. I used some of my Marriott points to stay at a new resort. Mom and Dad came to hang out at our pool for the day. My question here is, is Dad just like Pipere, or is Dad just like Pipere?
Here we are in one of the infinity pools in San Juan - this was right after Dan and Kristin got beat up by the waves!
I love these chairs! Our hotel had beds and chairs like this everyone...don't you think Peggy should by one????
Sisters on the beach

Here is the view from our hotel in San Juan...not too shabby!
Here we are waiting to check in at more of the beds, they were everywhere!

So here is a glimpse into our trip, everyone had a great time and we all made it home safe and sound. So when are we doing a full Robillard family trip down there?

Back from Puerto Rico!

So, where do we begin? The trip started with my parents missing their flight on Saturday morning. They forgot a bag at the house and had to go back to get it. Being the nice kids that Andrea, Dan, and I are, we decided we would make the Costco run to save them time. See what happens when you let the pregnant woman shop....

On top of all of our luggage and Dan and Andreas golf clubs, we had the car packed to the rim. This was just the back seat where poor Andrea had to squish in with all the food.

On Wednesday night, we headed into San Juan for dinner at the Marriott. Using the dinner for two certificates, we sure got our $$ worth! I think we took home as much food as we ate. And everything was delicious!

Dan captured one of the many rainbows we spotted while we were in Dorado. This is from the beach at the timeshare. With the exception of one or two days, the weather was great!

For those who have had the privilege of using the dinner for two certificates, you can appreciate this! While I was away from the table, Dan decided to order us "special drinks." (all non-alcoholic drinks were included with the dinner!) He had the biggest smirk on his face until the waiter returned with two shirley temples with triple cherries!!! I will admit they were really good.

I guess all those golf lessons Andrea took in California paid off. She kept up with the guys on the golf course!

Kristin and Mom enjoyed a few drinks at the Bacardi Factory, (maybe a few too many!)

Like two year olds, we all loved riding the Coco Loco! I would say Dan enjoyed it the most, and this is only one of the many times he went up and down the slide.

Thanks to Cindy and Rays discovery of the ferry that takes you into Old San Juan, we took a day trip to tour the island. Dan and I are posing here at the Gate of Old San Juan!

Dad, Dan, Kristin, and one of Dads friends went deep sea fishing. After a day at sea, Kristin was the only one to return with a fish. This is her Mahi-Mahi, she will have to tell you the whole story since I wasn't there. We enjoyed Little Scotty for dinner that night and it was delicious!

There are more pictures to come either later tonight of tomorrow - I hope you enjoyed them!

Sign the Petition

Hi Everyone -

Since I don't have a list of everyones e-mails with me I figured this may work. Here is a note from one of Dad's good friends:

Please Join Our Quest for Johnny Holland

On September 26, 2007 my son, John Holland Jr. was involved in a car accident that tragically involved a fatality. It has been determined by the State of Florida to charge him as an adult with a charge of Vehicular Homicide. Johnny is Sixteen years old and has never had a motor vehicle or criminal violations.

I assure you that no alcohol, drugs, drag racing, or even a cell phone was involved when the accident occurred.

Johnny was on his way home from Alonso High School at 3:18 PM and lost control of the car when the road merged from two lanes to one.

If you agree that this tragic accident should remain in juvenile court, Please sign the attached petition.

Thank You for your support in this tragic situation

Margaret T and John R Holland Sr.

To sign the petition, just click here. It will take less than 30 seconds for those of you who are computer savvy =P Maybe 1 minutes for those who aren't.

Finally.....

I did it!! I just printed and bound my final thesis paper and it is all ready to be turned in tomorrow at noon. All 200 pages of it! How quickly the year went by. There is a possibility that I will be graduating with a 4.0, but I will have to wait and see what I get on my final thesis. I don't actually graduate until May, hopefully I will be able to waddle across stage and receive my diploma.

That is one big stress off my shoulders! The Robillard and Snider clan is headed to Puerto Rico on Saturday for a week long vacation. I must say this vacation is much deserved. And I don't plan to do much other than sit my @ss at the pool or on the beach all day, while reading a good book. And, of course, drinking strawberry daiguiris (virgin of course!)
