Can you believe it? Andrea is already moving back to New Jersey. She flies out tomorrow night, but California couldn't let her go without a little fun! My parents are still visiting her and last night they had an
earthquake, 5.6 on the Richter Scale. Don't worry - they are all doing fine!

Mom & Dad have been out for about a week trying to help me get ready to move. Last night was my last night in the apartment so Mom decided to cook for me and a few of my friends that live out here from WS. We were having dinner around 8:00 when the earthquake started. It was really strange, at first I thought the people above me were moving stuff around because the floors are pretty thin. But then the shaking didn't stop! We could feel my apartment shaking pretty good - I'm on the 2nd floor of a 3 floor building. The light above the dinner table was shaking A LOT and my friend Brian said his plan of action was figuring out how to try to catch it when/if it fell. It lasted for about 25 seconds. We all just sat there and didn't say anything, it was semi-funny afterwards. But I promise it would NOT have been funny if I had been in my apartment alone!!!
My office is right by the fault line and a lot of the news footage we saw last night is from a couple blocks away from here so I was expecting a lot of damage here. I few of my files fell off my desk and the stuff on top of my monitor was on the ground but nothing major.
This was the biggest earthquake they have had since the big one before we moved out in 1989. People felt it all over from Carmel up past Napa and out to Stockton - that is a very larger area!
It was quite the way to go out I guess!
