Well, we had another successful Family Weekend...minus a few key players (Julie, Gail, Amy, Michael, and Brian). I will make sure I post the pictures once I get a chance to put them on the computer. It would be great if we could all share a funny or special moment from the weekend, I am sure the absent parties will enjoy reading about them and laughing!
The shower gifts for Camp Pinehurst were all wonderful! Thank you everybody so much!
final update maybe?

Hey family weekend was a lot of fun. I think we figured 45 peps 4 dinner on Sat. Peggy prepared this unbelievable pork wit incredible white sauce it was surely a hit. Peter and David coooked it to perfection. I mean cooked them I think they had 25 pork loins on 2 grills. We also had many wonderful salads prepared by various guests. I do believe Lisa Myers has first prize for her mucho delicioso taco salad. We shared many a laugh but the best one had to be when I was leaving. Paul had parked behind my car and I determined that It would be too hard to get out so I was going to have him move his car, when Tina declared if I could not get out of there than I should not be driving so I told her to go ahead and move it if it soooo easy. Well within a minute she was up on the boat trailer and Paulas car has a scratch all down the side of it...Way to go Tina. Of course Emma was a wonderful addition to this weekend. I am not sure her feet ever touched the ground as every one wanted to hold her all weekend. She is absolutely adorable,If I do say so myself. And I am not one bit predjudice. Well we missed you Jules!!!! Can't wait to see u. Missed Michael too, really missing him now ( 2 weeks)
It made me laugh when we had Mimere opening the gifts for the camp and she really thought they were all for her. When she opened the new pots & pans she said she was going to take them back to Mass and send her old ones to the camp....she is too cute! She absolutely loved opening all the gifts!
Although it was not from the weekend my favorite memory from this past week was when Erin, David, and Dan decided it would be a good idea to watch the lightening storm on the side of the Shepard's lawn at 4AM. Seemed like a good idea at least until a huge bolt of lightening hit and there was a burst of thunder that was so loud it shook the house! Although Mandy and Todd were the only ones priveledged enough to see them jump out of their skin and run into the house I still laugh just thinking about it!!!
great stories guys, thanks
There will be a slight delay in posting the pictures from the weekend because I left my camera in Erins car. As soon as I get the camera I will add the pictures (filtered for Paula)
That was really funny when Dan and Tommy did that....the best part about that was when Dan kept trying to write a number on his chest for the volleyball game and he kept writing it backwards, like three times in a row!!!!
Hi Julie, What a wonderful experience for you. Hope your having fun and not working to hard! Take care and stay safe.
I wanted to share my funny part of family weekend: It was on Saturday around midnight while sitting on the back porch someone who's name starts with a "T" was sitting next to me, she said she'd had a little to much wine and needed me to tell her when she should laugh. It was so funny because she couldn't stop laughing. My family had so much fun. Look forward to next year.
I am waiting to get the camera back from Erin. I do have a package ready for me at the post ofice today, I will let you know if it is the camera. I promise to keep you updated!
