We all know tomorrow is Kristin's big day! As of this morning, she was feeling pretty well with some pain in her lower back. She will head up to New Hampshire tonight and stay at a hotel across the street from the hospital. She has to be at Pre Admission Testing at 6:45 AM tomorrow! Throughout the day, my mom will call and give me updates and I will update this blog as much as possible. Since the phones don't work in the hospital, it will be easier for everyone to check the blog regularly than to have my mom trying to call a million people throughout the day. We all wish Kristin good luck...this is truly an awesome thing to do for someone!
Good Luck!!

We are so blessed with such an awesome bunch. I could not be prouder. Krisitn is one lucky girl to be able to do this. I am praying all goes well and will be checking for updates. P.S. Emma took 6 steps at her house yesterday.
Kristin is doing well so far. She went in this morning and first had to have blood work done. Everything came back fine so they went ahead and put the central line in her neck. That was a little painful and she almost had another pass out experience (That seems to be common for her!). She moved to the donor room at 9:15 and once the paperwork was completed, she started the proceduce at 10:15. Mom said Kristin is doing well and she was hoping she would fall asleep soon. She is getting novacaine as needed for the pain in her neck. They anticipate she will be done around 4:30 or 5 and Erin is picking her up to bring her back to Burlington. I should have another update around 12:30.
Everything is still going well. Kristin seems to getting antsy from having to lay down all day and Mom is trying to get her some medication to calm her down, but thankfully she is not in any pain.
She does have three central lines in her neck (I can see how that would be uncomfortable!!). One line is to remove the blood, one to put the blood back, and the last is an IV. They are still estimating that she will be finished around 4:30 - we will keep our fingers crossed!
Here is the last update before I head home for the day (actually I am heading to the gym to work off all the food and alcohol from the past week!) If I hear from Kristin tonight, I will update again....
Kristin ate about two bites of her soup before the medicine kicked in - so now she is just passed out asleep in her bed, which I think is better for her. She will be on the machine until 5 PM and then they will remove the central line and do a few blood tests. Once that is complete, she will be on her way back to Vermont with Erin.
This is such an awesome thing that Kristin is doing! Send her my love from Kenya!
and, I miss you guys (a little) and I'll be home soon. I can't wait to see Emma walking!
